This weekend I’m hoping to finally finish A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness, a book that I have been struggling with for more than a month now. It is driving me nuts and I just want to finish it.

I’m also reading The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich, I’m almost halfway through and liking it so far. I’m hopefully going to start Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo, a book I hope I find better than the first book in the trilogy.

What are you reading this weekend?

#FridayReads

My reading goal for this weekend is to finish Raising Steam by Terry Pratchett and Eldtronen by Rick Riordan (it’s the Swedish version of The Throne of Fire). But I am currently reading 8 different books, so I’m gonna try and get that number down to a more manageable number. I have no trouble reading 8-10 different books in one go, but I get really stressed over the time it takes me to read them (which is longer than usual since I split my time between 8-10 different books).

What are you reading this weekend?

Also, I’d like to say a quick little thank you to those who have used my affiliate link (you can find it on the sidebar) to buy books from BookDepository. It’s not much yet but it means the world to me. Remember, any profits goes to improving this blog. I’d like to try and have some giveaways in the future, but at the moment I’m a poor student so can’t really afford it (most of you are in the same boat). Therefore, the profits I make from being an affiliate will go to funding stuff like that.

#FridayReads

This weekend will most likely not be filled with reading. Instead, I’m doing either both exciting and scary things.

Saturday: We are going to celebrate my mum’s 60th birthday and I also have tryouts for instructors at one of our local gyms. Really excited for this but scared as well. We have to prepare a warm up and a mini-workout with four exercises that we should be able to instruct. The mini-workout part is fine, but the warm up is stressing me out. Despite having worked out regularly for quite some time now my brain is just going “how the hell do you warm up?

Then we have the birthday celebrations. Whether or not the tryouts go well, I will get to celebrate a little extra or try and drown my sorrows.

Sunday: Since it is my mum’s 60th, we have relatives here that we maybe only meet face to face once a year. So the Sunday will be spent socializing with the family and catching up. Maybe also continue to drown my sorrows after the tryouts 😛

#FridayReads

I’m currently reading several books at the same time. Mostly because I started one, was sort of interested but not fully satisfied and therefore started another book to read alongside the others. Did this several times until I ended up with these six books. The Stars Never Rise seems like a really quick read, started it recently and already halfway through.

I’m also listening to Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman.
