In the blink of an eye, Josey lost the most important people in her life, her parents.

Can a hound dog named Cookie, a pair of Mourning Doves, and a passionate vet bring the holiday spirit back into Josey’s life in time for Christmas?

My thoughts:

Here’s the thing. The premise of this book is great. Emotionally wounded woman get’s dog, meets cute veterinarian, falls in love. As a romance that sounds great. This particular story is just too short. Sure, its a novella so it’s meant to be short, but this story would have been great as a full book, now it was pretty much worthless.

Because it’s so short, the characters fall flat. I didn’t really feel for any of them, not even the dog (and I love dogs).

The story just went by too fast as well. The romance was too quick and just felt  unrealistic.

Do I recommend it?
